Anderson Prep tours Grissom Published Sept. 20, 2013 By Tech. Sgt. Douglas Hays 434th ARW/Public Affairs GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- Potential Air Force members got a first-hand look at Grissom during a visit here Aug. 14. Students and staff from Anderson Prepatory Academy, Anderson, Ind., stopped by learn more about the Air Force and Air Force Reserve. The group visited the 434th Operation Support Squadron's aircrew flight equipment section to see some of the behind-the-scene support aviators receive. Grissom holds tours from June 1 to September 30, with tours being provided on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. All tours must be arranged 30 days in advance and are conducted during normal business hours. Available tour dates are filled on a first come, first served basis and are arranged through the public affairs office. The 434th ARW is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command.
