Hoosier Wing announces semiannual award winners

GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. --  Twice a year Grissom recognizes the best of the best with its semiannual award program.

This year was no different as the 434th Air Refueling Wing leadership recently announced its semiannual award winners for the July through December 2013 timeframe.

Listed below are the second half of 2013 winners.

Airman category:
Senior Airman Nevada Carr, 434th Security Forces Squadron fire team memeber

Noncommissioned officer category:
Staff Sgt. Clayton Duncan, 72nd Air Refueling Squadron inflight refueling technician

Senior NCO category:
Master Sgt. Felita Calvin, 434th Force Support Squadron services technician

First sergeant category:
Senior Master Sgt. Dean Regazzi, 434th Civil Engineer Squadron first sergeant

Company grade officer category:
Capt. Brandon German, 74th Air Refueling Squadron, KC-135 instructor pilot 

Civilian category:
Rich Percival, 434th Communications Squadron customer representative

Chief Master Michael L. Bowden Jr., 434th ARW interim command chief, said Grissom's awards program is important because it recognizes and rewards 434th ARW Airmen for their contributions to both the Air Force and their communities.

Nominees are evaluated on a host of items based on their level of responsibility, but common to all is how they impact Grissom, the Air Force and their communities.

The 434th ARW is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command. Airmen from the 434th ARW routinely deploy around the world in support of the Air Force mission and U.S. strategic objectives.
