Starlifter, a component of the Air Force Band of Mid-America, will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Feb. 27 at McHale Performing Arts Center in Logansport Ind.

Starlifter is an energetic and multi-talented group of musicians that are sure to please all types of music lovers, said Tech. Sgt. Keisha Gwin, the band's assistant director of operations.

The group plays a variety of rock, funk, jazz, blues, soul, country and the latest pop hits and is suitable for all ages.

"We thrive on diversity and try to create a musical gumbo of genres to exploit each of our musicians' backgrounds," Gwin said.

"We use vocals, drums, guitars and piano to get our audiences to move their feet during our high-energy shows," she said.

They are based out of Scott Air Force Base, Ill., and in Logansport for one night only.
"Our show is free for everyone, and no advance tickets are needed," she said. "We hope people can make it out to see us."
