Wing announces 2015 semi-annual award winners

Twice a year Grissom recognizes the best of the best with its semiannual award program.

This year was no different as the 434th Air Refueling Wing leadership recently announced its semiannual award winners for the January through June 2015 timeframe.

Listed below are the first half of 2015 winners.

Airman category:

Senior Airman Luis Mendoza, 434th Maintenance Squadron aerospace ground equipment specialist

Noncommissioned officer category:

Tech. Sgt. Deborah Sweet, 434th Maintenance Group education and training specialist

Senior NCO category:

Senior Master Sgt. Troy Bell, 434th MXS flight chief

Company grade officer category:

Capt. Matthew Dickerson, 434th MXS AMU officer in charge

Civilian category:

Allen Edgerley, 434th Logistics Readiness Squadron supply and fuels quality assurance evaluator

Nominees are evaluated on a host of items based on their level of responsibility, but common to all is how they impact Grissom, the Air Force and their communities.

The 434th ARW is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command. Airmen from the 434th ARW routinely deploy around the world in support of the Air Force mission and U.S. strategic objectives.
