Maj. Gen. John Flournoy, 4th Air Force commander, recently addressed the 434th Air Refueling Wing Airmen in a video thanking them for their hard work and dedication to the mission.

"When I reflect back to what you've done this year, what comes to mind first is wow!" said Flourney

The accomplishments mentioned were Grissom's flying hours, Nuclear Operational Readiness Inspection, Cyber Command Readiness Inspection, deployments, recycling/energy conservation and Grissom's fire training facility.

"What you did was set the benchmark and gold standard for others to follow," explained Flourney. "You flew, flew and flew; accumulating more than 7,000 flying hours!

"That's more than you've flown for 15 years and even dating back to when you had more aircraft," he added. "I know I can't cover everything you've done in this short time, but I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that your work and reputation shines brightly.

"From the 4th Air Force family to yours, I want to extend best wishes for happy holidays; thanks again for your service, your commitment and your support to our great nation," he concluded.
