Greathouse promoted to staff sergeant

Air Force Reservist Nathan T. Greathouse of Ft. Wayne, Ind., was recently promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. 

He is the son of Gretchen and Charles Greathouse of Huntington, Ind. 

Sergeant Greathouse is assigned to the 434th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron as a personnel journeyman and has nearly five years military service. As a personnel journeyman he interviews and classifies airmen and officers, advises on career progression and updates military personnel data system records. 

In addition, he manages Air Force retention programs, assists military personnel in making career decisions, and advises airman on benefit programs. 

He is also a member of the Grissom ARB Honor Guard. 

The 434th ARW is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command. Personnel and aircraft from the wing routinely deploy around the world in support of various Air Force missions. 

Sergeant Greathouse is a graduate of Huntington North High School located in Huntington, Ind.
