Community Council elects officers Published Feb. 12, 2007 By Lt. Col. Gary Lockard 434th ARW Public Affairs GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind -- Hal Job, a resident of Wabash, Ind., and CEO of the Francis Slocum Bank, was elected president of the Grissom Community Council during the group's annual membership meeting on Feb 10. The Grissom Community Council, originally formed in the 1960s, is a civilian non-profit organization dedicated to providing support to the military units and personnel at Grissom Air Reserve Base. As the president, Mr. Job will direct the activities of the council and its more than 130 members. Throughout the course of the year, the council will be involved in a number of special activities at Grissom ARB, help to educate the local populace on the mission of the base, and promote interaction between the civilian and military communities. In addition to election of officers, the annual membership meeting featured special presentations by Brig. Gen. Dean Despinoy, 434th Air Refueling Wing commander, and Lt. Col. Gary Lockard, chief of public affairs.
