Chicago, Indianapolis air shows highlight flight deck schedule Published June 24, 2008 GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- The summer schedule for Grissom's Interactive Flight Deck and Boom Pod has been updated and two major air shows highlight the list of events. People in Indianapolis and Chicago will be able to learn about Grissom's KC-135 mission through these interactive displays. The schedule for July and August include the following dates and locations: July 6, 2008: Patriotic Celebration, Fort Wayne, IN July 18-21, 2008: Dayton Vectron Air Show, Dayton, OH August 16-17, 2008: Chicago Air and Water Show, Chicago, IL August 22-24, 2008: Indianapolis Air Show, Mount Comfort Airport The Flight Deck and Boom Pod are interactive displays that help the public to better understanding of the KC-135R Stratotanker mission. Both items are "interactive" displays with working dials, gauges, and video.
