DOD announces recruiting numbers

WASHINGTON (AFNS) --  Department of Defense officials recently announced recruiting statistics for the active and reserve components for March 2010.

Active Component:
-- Air Force - 2,835 accessions with a goal of 2,835; 100 percent
-- Army - 6,615 accessions with a goal of 6,389; 104 percent
-- Navy - 2,886 accessions with a goal of 2,886; 100 percent
-- Marine Corps - 1,118 accessions with a goal of 1,116; 100 percent

Reserve Component:
-- Army National Guard - 6,774 accessions with a goal of 5,150; 132 percent
-- Army Reserve - 3,010 accessions with a goal of 2,706; 111 percent
-- Navy Reserve - 348 accessions with a goal of 348; 100 percent
-- Marine Corps Reserve - 772 accessions with a goal 523; 148 percent
-- Air National Guard - 583 accessions with a goal of 540; 108 percent
-- Air Force Reserve - 983 accessions with a goal of 949; 104 percent
