AF Reserve senior officers nominated for promotion

WASHINGTON --  Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced Dec. 8 that the president has nominated nine Air Force Reserve one-star generals and two colonels for promotion.

Nominated for promotion to major general are:

 - Brig. Gen. Gary M. Batinich, mobilization assistant to the commander of U.S. Air Forces Central Command, Southwest Asia.

 - Brig. Gen. Richard S. Haddad, director of plans and programs, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga.

 - Brig. Gen. Robert M. Haire, MA to the deputy chief of staff for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

 - Brig. Gen. Robert G. Kenny, MA to the judge advocate general, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon.

 - Brig. Gen. Michael D. Kim, MA to the director of operations, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB, Ill.

 - Brig. Gen. Mark A. Kyle, commander of AFRC's 4th Air Force, March Air Reserve Base, Calif.

 - Brig. Gen. Kevin E. Pottinger, reserve deputy to the assistant secretary of the Air Force for manpower and reserve affairs, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Pentagon.

 - Brig. Gen. Robert D. Rego, MA to the commander of Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale AFB, La.

 - Brig. Gen. George F. Williams, MA to the commander of Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla.

Nominated for promotion to brigadier general are:

 - Col. Richard M. Erikson, MA to the Air Force deputy chief of chaplains, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon.

 - Col. Harris J. Kline, MA to the staff judge advocate, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
