Six civilian employees at Grissom were recently recognized for achieving major milestones in their federal service careers during a recent civilian commander's call held here by Col. William T. "Tim" Cahoon, 434th Air Refueling Wing commander.

These types of milestones for employees show the strength of Grissom, which is a knowledgeable, experienced civilian and air reserve technician workforce that gets the mission done," said Wes Marion, 434th Force Support Squadron human resources specialist.

Civilian employees are an integral part in how the Air Force mission is accomplished on a daily basis. Air reserve technicians, or ARTs, are part of that civilian workforce who have both a civilian and military reserve duty and provide continuity to Air Force Reserve.

Listed below are the individuals recognized for their service:

40 years
 - Michael Fritsch, 434th FSS
 - Denise Gumm, 434th Civil Engineer Squadron

30 years
 - Senior Master Sgt. Bryan Hettinghouse, 434th Operations Group
 - John Moriarty, 434th Communications Squadron

20 years
 - Troy Rogers, 434th Security Forces Squadron

10 years
 - Cynthia Stepp, 434th FSS

The 434th ARW at Grissom is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command.
