Grissom Community Council sets goals

The Grissom Community Council recently confirmed its key leadership for 2012.  The new GCC President, Tom Weatherwax, recently unveiled the council's goals for the remainder of the year. 

The goals are:

A. Expand and perfect overall membership
1. Get new members who will contribute to our goals. Establish a goal.
2. Have informative programs & share our history.
3. Have fun.
4. Call all members, re-activate their interests, we need them.
5. Ask community leaders to join, contribute to our council.
6. Utilize the refueling flights in a more effective manner.
7. Utilize our County Directors more. Build future leaders.

B. Bring the "communities" back into our council
1. Have a goal of 80 community members for each quarterly meeting.
2. Show off our communities, our council and our heritage.
3. Honor our veterans - Invite them to each quarterly meeting as a goal.

C. Tell the story
1. Our goal must be to inform the public, support our troops , raise money
And expand our membership in each county.
2. "Bring our story" to each county. Regional meetings, not just once a year.

Summary: We have a tremendous legacy and active mission.
