Orders-Woempner 434th ARW Public Affairs GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- Throughout history, U.S. Marines have been regarded as some of the toughest warriors who have earned each achievement as they have won each battle, one step at a time. In that same manner, several Grissom Marines from Detachment 1, Communications Company, Headquarters and Service Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group here were recently promoted. Their names are as follows: To corporal: - Darren Anderson - Donavan Collins - Mark Combs - Michael Lachky - Bryce Link - Stephen Miller - Adam Yeager To gunnery sergeant: - Brian Kenefic More than 130 Marines are assigned to Detachment 1, which is primarily responsible for providing communications services to the 4th MLG. Grissom is not only home to Detachment 1, but also the 434th Air Refueling Wing, the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command, as well as three Army Reserve units.
