Happy 71st Birthday to the United States Air Force

September 18, 2018 marks the 71st anniversary of the creation of the United States Air Force. Formerly the Army Air Corps, the Air Force gained its status as a branch of the United States Armed Forces with the passing of the National Security Act of 1947. The 434th ARW is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command. The Citizen Airmen from the Hoosier Wing routinely deploy around the world in support of the Air Force mission.
