Airmen from the 49th Aerial Port Flight threw on another layer of cold weather gear and headed to Alaska for inter-service training recently.

In March, members of Grissom’s 49th Aerial Port Flight deployed to Alaska for Arctic Care 2017 to provide supplies and medical care to underserved communities.

Airmen worked alongside Army, Navy, and Coastguard servicemen and women in an operation which served as training for future overseas deployments while improving the lives of American citizens in remote locations.

Watch the video to learn what three of Grissom’s Airmen had to say about their experiences during Arctic Care 2017.
