434th Air Refueling Wing Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year Staff Sgt. Andrew Davenport, firefighter, 434th Civil Engineer Squadron Staff Sgt. Davenport is a large part of Grissom’s fire department being Air Force Reserve Command’s only fire house with four national and DoD accreditations. During 2021 he not only completed 544 hours of training at the Fire Academy, but he earned the academy’s top graduate honors, but the recognition doesn’t stop there. He was recently named AFRC’s Fire Fighter of the year. Davenport also revamped the fire departments upgrade training program which resulted in their certification time being cut by 50 percent.
