The 2019 Grissom Air and Space Expo is just under 60 days away and planners want to make sure that attendees take advantage of all the perks the event has to offer.

With an estimated daily attendance of 45,000, one of the most coveted amenities will be seating to watch the flying acts.

The airshow will feature demonstrations by the Thunderbirds and the U.S. Army aerial demonstration team, The Golden Knights. Spectators will undoubtedly be on the hunt for the best vantage point.

Attendees can take the legwork out of the search with an option to purchase reserved seating that boasts an excellent view of the show.

Reserved seating is family friendly, with tickets priced at $25-$35 each for ages 6 and over. Ticket prices include access to a general admission seating area and a separate concession area with adult beverages available for purchase.

“This is a great way to get an excellent view of the flying demonstrations,” said Tim Sparks, 434th Force Support Squadron marketing and commercial sponsorship coordinator.

The tickets come with in-and-out privileges so that guests can go explore the whole show and still have a seat to watch the flying acts.”

Families can also take advantage of a free kids zones to keep little ones entertained during the event.

Vendors will be on-hand for food, beverage and souvenir purchases.

The Air Force’s band of Mid-America, Roots in Blue, will treat attendees to live musical performances throughout the day.

The Grissom Air and Space Expo is scheduled for Sept. 7-8, 2019.

Gates open at 8:30 a.m. each day, with flying scheduled to begin at 11:30.
