COLONEL DWIGHT D. MEESE

Colonel Dwight D. Meese is the commander of the 434th Maintenance Group, Grissom Air Reserve Base, IN.  He is responsible for providing leadership and direction to a group comprised of two squadrons and staff that employs 595 assigned traditional Reserve, Air Reserve Technician and civilian Airmen across multiple specialties.  Additionally, he ensures the highest combat readiness capabilities by organizing, training, and equipping all members of the group supporting AFRC’s largest unit-equipped KC-135R Stratotanker fleet for global refueling and mobility missions.


Meese’s maintenance and logistics support experience includes A-10A/C, B-52H, C-17A, C-130E/H/H2/J, E-11A, F-16C/D, KC-135R, MC-12W, MQ-1, MQ-9 and U-21 aircraft. He has been a deputy Maintenance Group (MXG) commander and has commanded two Maintenance Squadrons (MXS) and an Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (AMXS). His deployment and contingency support experience has included Operation Desert Storm, Operation Restore Hope, Operation Enduring Freedom and JTFs Provide Relief, Provide Promise, Shining Hope and CJTF-Horn of Africa, as well as several deployments to South America and the Far East.
