In preparation for an upcoming exercise the 434th Civil Engineer Squadron tested their bird cannons, which will take the place of ground burst simulators. GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- A propane bird deterrent cannon is tested here Sept. 5 in preparation for an upcoming. The Grissom Emergency Management office here plans on using the cannons to take the place of ground burst simulators because the cannons are easier to use and are more cost efficient.
