Maintenance chief retires after 34 years

1/20/2011 - GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- Friends and family stood up for Chief Master Sgt. Diana Rogers as she entered Dock 1 for her retirement ceremony, Jan. 8.
Chief Rogers, 434th Maintenance Group superintendent, retired after serving 34 years, 4 years in the regular Air Force and 30 years in the Air Force Reserve.
Col. Paul Weimer, 434th MXG Commander, presided over the ceremony. For a special show slide of the event, click here.
The 434th Maintenance Group is responsible for KC-135R Stratotanker aircraft maintenance oversight and a variety of on and off aircraft maintenance and support activities. Group responsibilities include avionics, fabrication systems, jet propulsion, inspection, logistics management, maintenance control, maintenance supply, plans and scheduling, resource management, and ground support equipment.

The KC-135 Stratotanker is the Air Force's primary aerial refueling aircraft and can refuel fighter, bomber and cargo aircraft.
The 434th Maintenance Group is one of three major groups within the 434th Air Refueling Wing and plays a key role in the Air Force Reserve Command's world-wide mission.
