10/5/2012 - GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- Sixteen personnel from the 434th Air Refueling Wing were recently awarded medals. The medal recipients and their medals include:
Meritorious Service Medal
- Lt. Col. Douglas Gullion, 72nd Air Refueling Squadron
- Lt. Col. James West, 72nd ARS.
- Chief Master Sgt. Allen Edgerley, 434th Operations Support Squadron
- Chief Master Sgt. Tony Hoffman, 434th Maintenance Group
- Senior Master Sgt. Bradley Klepinger, 434th Security Forces Squadron
- Master Sgt. Lisa Fitzgerald, 434th Force Support Squadron
- Master Sgt. James Malloy, 434th Communications Squadron
- Master Sgt. Nathan Moore, 434th FSS

The 434th ARW is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command. From Grissom Air Reserve Base, Airmen and aircraft from the 434th ARW routinely deploy around the world in support of the Air Force mission and U.S. strategic objectives.
