GCC dinner meeting set for Friday

1/19/2011 - GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- The Grissom Community Council, a civilian, nonprofit organization that provides support to Grissom ARB, will holds its annual dinner meeting on Friday, January 21. The event will be held at the Grissom dining facility and include a number of special events including the election of officers for 2011 and a discussion of by amendments.
The GCC membership consists of civic leaders, elected officials and business representatives from the Miami, Howard, Cass and Wabash regions of Indiana. The group provides support to the Airmen, Marines, Soldiers and civilian employees of Grissom ARB through a number of liaison programs.
Grissom ARB is one of only fiveAir Force Reserve Command bases in the nation and is home to a variety of organizations, including the 434th Air Refueling Wing. The 434th ARW is equipped with a fleet of KC-135R Stratotanker aircraft and its aircraft and personnel routinely deploy around the world in support of the Air Force's aerial refueling mission.
